The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) asked those sitting beside him, "Do you think there would be any impurity or dirt on the body of someone who bathes five times a day in a river flowing in front of his house?" When they emphatically ruled it out, he explained, "My parable alludes to the five obligatory prayers a day. God overlooks one's sins as reward for his offering the five daily prayers regularly." (B)
